Deaerator and Storage Tanks

This system requires a thermal deaerator to remove the dissolved oxygen & carbon dioxide, which especially at temperatures encounter in Boilers, causes accelerated corrosion of metal parts. Besides its primary function of removing the dissolved gases from the feed water, the deaerator also preheats the incoming water. Complete heating of the water by steam is accomplished by direct contact between water & steam. Below the deaerator is located a feed water storage tank.
