coconut powder is made by us using fully matured 12 to 14 months old coconuts that are stored with the husk for almost 4 to 6 weeks for absorption of the kernel water to take place. This makes it easy to separate the kernel from shells and then, we remove the brown portions by scraping to get de-shelled coconuts that are later broken and washed thoroughly. This is used for making the coconut powder after disintegration and drying. Coconut powder is prepared after passing through vibratory screen and later packed into oil proof polybags.
