The apparatus has a sturdy construction.
There is a closed stainless steel dew point chamber in the instrument containing a highly polished stainless steel “target mirror” along with sample inlet and outlet control valves.
There is an arrangement for chilling the chamber by a refrigerant, which flows through the outer cooling jacket, thereby preventing any refrigerant contact with the test sample.
There is a thermometer inserted into the mirror support structure, which provides the temperature of the target mirror.
The apparatus meets the standard test specifications.
