    Azadirachta indica (Neem beeja/leaves, Indian lilac): The bitter leaf of neem is an effective remedy for treating diabetes. Anti-diabetic properties of Neem leaves aid insulin to increase the uptake of glucose into fat and muscle cells and, hence, helps in maintaining glucose levels in the body.
