Being the most common type of Gas Flow Meter, the Diaphragm Gas Flow Meter are widely used for industrial and domestic purposes. There are two or more chambers in the Diaphragm Gas Flow Meter that are formed by movable diaphragms. The chambers of the Diaphragm Gas Flow Meters alternately fill and expel the gas so as to ensure the near continuous flow through the meter. This mechanism of the Diaphragm Gas Flow Meter ensures that the gas flow is directed by internal valves. The expansion and contraction of the diaphragms convert the diaphragms linear motion into the crank shaft rotary motion. The levers connected to cranks of the Diaphragm Gas Flow Meter serve as the primary flow element. This shaft of the Diaphragm Gas Flow Meter can drive an odometer-like counter mechanism. Apart from that, the Diaphragm Gas Flow Meter can also produce electrical pulses for a flow computer.
