Device Description : the Burst Tester is built on a sturdy aluminum frame and the results are displayed on a digital load indicator . the Burst tester works according to Mullen principle . A piston pumps glycerin under the circular elastic diaphragm. The diaphragm bulges and distorts the sample, which is clamped around the periphery around the clamping bell. Pressure is increased until the sample is burst.

Test Description : It is measured by giving a hydraulic pressure through a rubber diaphragm on a circular area of the specimen of CBF under test conditions. Force requires to burst or complete rupture of the Paper/ board is measured visually. The bursting strength value is expressed in terms of kgs/cm2. The bursting strength defines the materials quality compare to the others. The value of the bursting strength will give the indication that how much weight may be carried in the Paper/box.
