role（use）: local anesthetics. Local anesthetic intensity: dimethocaine>dimethocaine hydrochloride>tetracaine>tetracaine hcl>lidocaine>lidcaine hcl> benzocaine > procaine>procaine hcl, but there are corresponding side effects. Mainly used for surface anesthesia of the eyes, nose, throat and urinary tract.
