Therapeutic use :  The mixture of fluticasone and salmeterol is used to treat asthma-related respiratory trouble, wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing and chest tightness. the fluticasine and salmeterol combinations (advair diskus) are also used to prevent and treat sickness, breathing shortness and tightness of the chest caused by chronic pulmonary obstruction disease (copd; a group of lung diseases that includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema). in adults and children aged 4 years and over the mixture of fluticasones and salmeterol (advair diskus) is used. fluticasone is used in children 12 years of age and older in the mixture of salmeterol (advair hfa and airduo respiclick).
