Lap sponges are made of pure cotton cholorine free bleached hydrophilic gauze. An X-ray thread incorporated into the sponge decreases the risk during surgery (60% barium multifilament yarn).
Each sponge features a cotton loop for easy location and retrieved during surgery that increases the safety.
Lap sponge are asigned for straining large amount of systemic fluids from the OP field.
Sterile lap sponge are packed in medical grade paper/film peelable blister packing pouches sterilized by ETO.
