distillation columns used for r & d in laboratories are normally small in size, 20 to 100 mm diameter, and demand lot of flexibility of operation such as low pressure drop, wide ranging liquid distillation capacity and flexible operating pressure ranging from high vacuum to moderate pressure. Therefore packings for laboratory distillation columns must be specially designed. Fenix has a solution for catering to this multi-purpose segment in its fxlab-dm and fxlab-em wire mesh structured packings.
