Distraction Quilt 33" x 39.5"

This quilt is obviously very different than my usual symmetrical designs. I pieced white and gray Kona cotton to form intersecting stripes of varying widths, with just a few tiny violet pieces along the top. Then, I embroidered the pieced top with Zundt designs. I wanted to show the transparency of parts of the designs - you can see the pieced fabric through the silver metallic-thread portions of the embroidery. I think my favorite part of this quilt is the binding pieced to continue the stripes! `
