DL-Cyloxscin is the combination of two medicines as Doxycycline & Lactobacillus which is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. Doxycycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic which stops bacterial growth. It exerts its bacteriostatic action by accumulating inside the bacteria through specific transporter protein and by passive diffusion & inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by attaching to 30 S subunit of bacterial ribosome (which are absent in mammals). Lactobacillus is a probiotic and it is called as friendly bacteria. It is a live microorganism which restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine. It is used along with antibiotic in order to restore the body`s natural microbial flora within the digestive tract. Lactobacillus helps in the breakdown of food and leads to the production of lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide and other byproducts. It is used to treat Diarrhea & to ease too much gas in the stomach.
Usage : DL_Cyloxscin contains Doxycycline 100 mg & Lactobacillus 5 Bn Spores which is used to treat bacterial infection. Combination of these two drugs stops bacterial growth & restore good bacteria in the intestines. This is prescribed medicine which has to be taken only under doctor’s supervision. Dosages are completely depending upon patient’s age, medical condition and severity of infection.
