We are all familiar with ESD (Electro Static Discharge).It is a charge generated from friction and it tends to jump from one charged surface to another conductive surface.
On non conductive materials such as all PLASTIC & SYNTHETIC materials the charges do not move. as charges are unable to flow, are called STATIC CHARGES.
Due to its layer of sweats ,human skin is one of the best conductors. It quickly picks up static charge store it and then release it in the form of DANGEROUS SPARK.
DAMAGE CAN BE CAUSED BY ESD.

A shoe is termed as being ANTISTATIC when its conducting state rating is between 105 and 108 ohms and measured at between 105 and 107 ohms.
CONDUCTIVE SHOE
A shoe is termed as being conductive when its conducting state rating is between 0 and 104 ohms.

Antistatic values of these materials changes in course of time (duration depends on climatic as well as working condition).The WEARER is recommended to perform regular examination of static rating. Whereas Antistatic properties of Nitrile rubber blended with antistatic ingredients during compounding, result are permanent (loss of antistatic values due to oxidization are negligible).
