when installed and sealed properly, foil bubble insulation can increase efficiency of your hvac system. aluminum bubble duct insulation is single or double layer of polyethylene bubbles sandwiched between two sheets of 99% aluminum radiant barrier. It's designed to reduce radiant heat gain or loss in a buildings duct work as well as reduce condensation.
