It has higher strength than austenitic stainless steels. It is the most extensively used duplex stainless steel grade and is considered by high yield strength, twice over that of the standard austenitic stainless steel grades. High temperature potency is similar to Type 430 in the range of 1150 Degree C to 950 Degree C. However the steel shows prompt growth in the potency below 900 Degree C. They are not quite as easily welded as the austenitic grades but low thermal expansion in duplex grades reduces distortion and residual stresses after welding. We also offer this Duplex Steel in made-to-order sizes and shapes.
