EMLA is a position controlled linear actuator to operate the control surface of a missile, it can also be used for gun position control. The unit is powered by a small sized BLDC motor which has high rated power of 3kW.
The unit is capable of operating at a speed of 165mm/sec, against the rated load of 1100kgs. It has got a stroke of ±30mm. The unit operates at a nominal voltage of 80VDC.
