Emerald gemstone is a Beryl, with presence of chromium and Vanadium, which makes it green .It can have various colours from colourless, blue, pink and golden yellow depending upon the inclusion. It is Beryllium aluminium silicate and formula is Be3AI2(Si03)5. It is found in granites, pegmatites and schists as well as alluvial deposits.
