Engine Components

The aircraft engine manufacturers have seen great benefits from the use of composite materials. High strength to weight ratio of composites helps both fuel efficiency and flight range. Trans-cowl and engine components are found in the engine nacelle and thrust reverser systems. Carbon fiber with epoxy resin are the typical materials. Exterior engine components have lightning protection while interior components require acoustic treatments to meet the noise attenuation requirements.
