Aluminium Polished ER 5183, Color : Grey, Black, Shiny Silver

ER5183 is a high-strength aluminum-magnesium welding filler metal (wire/rod) containing ~5% Magnesium and higher Manganese, known for excellent crack resistance, high tensile strength (around 40-48 ksi), great ductility, and good corrosion resistance, especially in marine/seawater environments, used for welding base metals like 5083, 5086, and 5456, offering high toughness and white post-weld color matching for anodizing. 

• Composition: Aluminum alloy with around 5% Magnesium (Mg) and elevated Manganese (Mn), plus Chromium (Cr).
• Strength: Provides very high "as-welded" strength, often exceeding 40 ksi (275 MPa).
• Toughness: Offers high fracture toughness and impact resistance, even at low temperatures.
• Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to seawater and general corrosive environments.
• Color Match: Welds remain white after anodizing, providing good color consistency.
• Weldability: Good working ability, less prone to cracking than some other fillers.
