Cetuximab, sold under the brand name Erbitux, is an epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor medication used for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer and head and neck cancer. Cetuximab is a chimeric monoclonal antibody given by intravenous infusion.   Cetuximab is a type of targeted cancer drug. It is also known as Erbitux. It is a treatment for bowel cancer that has spread (advanced bowel cancer) and head and neck cancers. Depending on your cancer type, you might have cetuximab alongside other chemotherapy drugs or radiotherapy treatment.
