ESPON-SR Anti-Scale Protective Coating for preventing scaling on machined parts during re-heat treatment.

Heat treated and machined parts may sometimes need to be re-heat-treated due to metallurgical reasons. There is minimal to no room for scaling in these situations. Rejections will result from even a tiny amount of scaling. Grinding or shot blasting are also not feasible. Hence, to avoid scaling on parts during re-heat treatment, ESPON-SR protection coating is applied in certain situations. This results in prevention of scaling and prevention of rejections due to scaling. ESPON-SR Anti-Scale Protective Coating can be applied by brushing, spraying or dipping. When coated items are reheated, this coating has no effect on the characteristics, temperature, or heating time. The coating must be manually removed using mild buffing or similar techniques. ESPON-SR is non-flammable and non-hazardous.
