Fibre Discs

Fibre discs are the most popular and versatile coated abrasive tool used in modern industry. The discs are constructed with a strong vulcanized backing, coated with sharp abrasive grains and bonded with tough, heat resistant resin. This results in cool and fast cutting action and imparts long life to the discs.

RPM Recommendations :
Optimized grinding speed varies considerably with the type of abrasive surface, material being grinded/finished, the contours of the surface and size of the disc used. As a safety precaution, backup pads must be used during grinding application.
The maximum rpm of the disc depends on the peripheral speed of the disc. Thus for 178 mm diameter discs the safe tool speed is 5400 rpm. For discs with 124 mm diameter and 100 mm diameter, high speed up to 11000 rpm can be safely used.

- 178 mm diameter with 22.3 mm center bore.
- 125 mm diameter with 22.3 mm center bore.
- 100 mm diameter with 16.0 mm center bore.
