This is a low power consumption multi-layer metal oxide semiconductor type gas sensor. It is highly sensitive to carbon monoxide and high resistance to alcohol vapour. It is ideally used for smoke detection. A pulsed voltage is applied on one second voltage cycle to prevent the possible migration of the heater material in extreme environmental condition.
