Figured Glass/Wired Glass

Patterned or figure rolled glass is made by running molten glass over a patterned roller which reproduces the pattern on the glass. In addition to diffusing light and obstructing visibility from the outside, the figure softens the interior lighting. Figured roll glass is used to diffuse, not obscure, an object when viewing. 
The glass is also used as a popular decorative product.  Wired glass is translucent glass held by wire mesh.  Wired glasses are also used for skylights as this glass does not fall when it cracks or breaks.  Wired glass is available only in 6mm thickness.
