Reaction on Hydration :
During hydration process of cement free lime is released out and remains as surpluse in thehydrated cement. which eventually act as deleterious material and make the concrete/mortar porous or forms micro shrinkage cracks. if fly ash is Mix, this surplus lime becomes the source for pozzollanic reaction with fly ash and addional cementitious strength giving CSH get which is having same strength giving properies produced by hydration of cement paste it
