The run-flat tyre is designed with very rigid sidewalls that supports the weight of the car in the event of air-loss. This rigidity also produces undesirable noise, vibration & discomfort while driving. Once punctured, the run-flat can only be driven up to a certain distance with speed restrictions. Adding to the inconvenience & cost, a run-flat tyre has to be repaired or replaced completely whenever it gets flat.
