It is the important kind of product among the unshaped refractories. It consists of refractory aggregate, fine powder and binder. When using it, installation can be carried out by casting after it is uniformly mixed and then agitated adequately with water. There are three kinds of castables according to the properties of binders i.e. Fire clay refractory castables, cement refractory castables and inorganic refractory castables.
