Fire Rated Glass

Fire resistant glass for the home or business gives protection & resistance from fire. 
FUSO Glass provides fire-rated glazing. Fire glass blocks heat, protecting people and valuables on the non-fire side of the glass where heat transfer might be a concern. It is used for doors and walls and can protect an area for up to 1 to 2 hours, saving and protecting people and property should the unthinkable happen. 
FUSO Fire rated glasses are not meant for interiors alone. They can be used on exteriors and combine gracefully with the architect's design. These new age products can be double glazed with several of solar control glass products, to give additional solar control and design benefits. This is also part of the tested FUSO Fireprotect Systems which includes special DGU units that can also withstand fire for the required duration. 
Fire –resistant glass is made up by processing ordinary float glass adopting high-tech and new production method through ion exchange– immersing surface dealt glass into cesium potassium salt solution..

 

Characteristics

Ggood optical performance, optical transmission is the same as ordinary float glass. The strength of the fire-risistant glass is 6 times as that of the ordinary float glass and 1.5 times as that of the tempered glass. There’s no difference between the two surfaces in fire-proof performance.The glass can effectively prevent the spread of flames and smoke, so that people have enough time to evacuate the scene and carry out relief work. 
Fire-resistant glass can be used as substrate for other glass units, such as insulation glass, laminated glass etc to obtain more other performances. It’s widely used in movie theaters, banks, hospitals, shopping malls, large-scale casino and server rooms etc.
