Flat belting is an elegant and energy efficient solution for power transmission.
Thin cross-section and flexibility reduce centrifugal force and energy consumption, while allowing an increase in belt speed and horsepower capacity. Efficiencies can be as high as 98 – 99%.
High tensile strength and high fatigue strength are inherent properties. As is the ability to dampen and absorb shock loading. And the ability to handle reverse bends, run a serpentine path, and negotiate small pulleys.
These properties also yield long flex life compared to multi-v belts. Plus you get quiet running, with limited vibration – even at very high speed.
Available with a choice of friction coefficient against the pulley. Ability to be spliced endless on the machine. Pre-Tensioned – eliminating the need to re-tension later on.
