This type of Cotton fiber is derived from carding machines. Carding is a mechanical process that disentangles, cleans and intermixes fibers to produce a continuous web or sliver, suitable for subsequent processing.
This is achieved by passing the fibers between differentially moving surfaces covered with card clothing. It breaks up and unorganised clumps of fibre and then aligns the individual fibres In the process free flowing fibers are removed by rotating flats.
These fibers are Longer than comber fibers and also much better quality than Dropping Fibers, It also has some trash content and has very few impurities which are present in the cotton
