Fluracil Injection

Fluracil 500mg injection is used in the treatment of ovarian cancer, head and neck cancer, cervical cancer, testicular cancer., breast cancer, non-hodgkin lymphoma (nhl), blood cancer, lung cancer, bone cancer and urinary bladder cancer.

How fluracil injection works : Fluracil 500mg injection interferes with the growth of DNA and RNA of the cancer cells by substituting their building blocks. It prevents the cancer cells from growing and multiplying.

Common side effects of fluracil injection : Nausea, Vomiting, Weakness, Loss of appetite, Reduced blood platelets, Increased risk of infection, Decreased white blood cell count, Hair loss, Bronchospasm, Diarrhoea, Esophagitis, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Inflammation of the rectum

PREGNANCY INTERACTION FOR FLURACIL INJECTION : Fluracil 500mg injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

WEIGH RISKS VS. BENEFITS LACTATION INTERACTION FOR FLURACIL INJECTION : Fluracil 500mg injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.

FOOD INTERACTION FOR FLURACIL INJECTION :It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Fluracil 500mg injection at a fixed time.
