Fibre-Reainforced Polypropylene (FRP) is a coposite material made of a polymer matrix reainforced with Fibre.The Fibre is usually glass,carbon,aramid,orr basalt.The polymer is usually an epoxy,vinylester or polyester thermosettig plastic,and phenol formadehyde resins are still in use.

FRP as a material is resistant to Sunlight,Water,Chemical water and sewerage water.

FRP is high impact resistant as it is flexible and not brittle,hence in case of excess load the FRP covers do not disintegrate into pieces like cast iron or ductile Iron.

FRP is a material which is not affected by extrem cold or hot temperature as it is a thermoset material(cannot be melted and reversible)

UV stabilizer is added to the raw material to impart UV resistance.
