Up to 2600 mm dia. And capable of withstanding pressures upto 30 bars, are now being used commonly in the desalination industry. GRPFRP pipes have an inherent advantage of high corrosion resistance to sea water, cold water for power plants, chlorineacid and brine solutions. They can operate continuously at higher temperatures and installation can be done above-ground, at sub-sea level as well as underground for cover depths of 8 m.

GRPFRP pipes weights only 25% as much as similar steel pipe and 10% as much as similar concrete product. GRPFRP pipes are light weighted, hence easier handling, faster installation and low transportation costs. The use of heavy equipment is practically eliminated.
