Being an esteemed figure in the industry, we are engaged in delivering Futvac Vaccine. As a Supplier and Exporter, we cater to the specific requirement of customers in different capacities. We put quality on the top of our priority list. A number of quality tests are run by our quality team to ensure there are no defects whatsoever. Our vaccine is popular worldwide due to its effective performance, safe usage and longer life.
Uses : Futvac is used to control foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in cloven-hoofed animals such as cattle, buffaloes, sheep and goats as well as pigs.

    Composition :

    • Futvac contains inactivated FMD virus antigens of types ‘O’ (strain IND/O/R2/75), ‘A’ (strain IND/A//2000) and ‘Asia1’ (strain IND/Asia1/63/72).
    • The viruses are propagated on BHK-21 cell culture, inactivated with aziridine compound before purification and concentration. Mineral oil is added as an adjuvant and Thimerosal (0.01% w/v) as a preservative. The oil adjuvanted FMD vaccine is made available as single emulsion (Water-in-Oil, W/O) or double emulsion (Water-in-Oil-in-Water, W/O/W) formulation according to the customer needs.

Dosage & Administration : 2 ml in cattle, buffaloes and pigs; 1 ml in sheep and goats. For deep intramuscular use. Shake well before use.

Vaccination Schedule : Primary Vaccination: 3 months of age and above Booster Dose: 9 months after primary vaccination Re-Vaccination: Annual

Vaccination of Pregnant Animals : Futvac can be used in vaccination of pregnant animals. However to be on safer side, the vaccination of the animals in advanced stage of pregnancy may be avoided.

Immunity : Immunity is conferred for 12 months. However, half-yearly vaccination is recommended in endemic areas as per the OIE guidelines.

Precautions : Immunize only healthy animals. Malnutrition, infestation with worms, administration of immunosuppressive agents such as corticosteroids or radiotherapy will interfere with the immune response to vaccine.

Post-vaccination Reactions : Generally, there are no adverse reactions noticed. Occasionally a transient palpable swelling may occur at the site of injection, which will subside in 24-48 hours.

Storage & Transport : Store and transport the vaccine between 2 and 8°C until use. At no stage should the vaccine be allowed to freeze. Protect from sunlight.

Shelf Life : 2 years (24 months) from the date of manufacture
