Tablet is a medicine that consists of Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. It is used in the treatment of neuropathic pain (pain from nerve damage). Nerve damage may occur due to various conditions such as diabetes, cancer, spine disorders, thyroid problems, or HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) infection. Gababit-MN Tablet works by blocking the movement of pain signals in your brain. It also helps in the formation of a myelin sheet (a protective covering of the nerve fibres) and repairs your damaged nerves. Gababit-MN Tablet may cause side effects like sleepiness, dizziness, weakness, and loss of coordination. These side effects are temporary and can usually resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or bother you. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Keep a check of your mood and behaviour as this medicine can cause mood and behaviour changes like suicidal tendencies. In such cases, contact your doctor immediately. Gababit-MN Tablet can be taken with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. You should keep taking this medicine for the prescribed duration even if you feel better after taking a few doses. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor as abrupt discontinuation can cause withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, fatigue, sweating, vomiting, depression, seizures, and hallucinations. Gababit-MN Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or any other medical conditions before taking this medicine. Gababit-MN Tablet is not recommended if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Your doctor may prescribe this medicine only when the benefits outweigh the risks.
