Establised in 1947 on the auspicious day of Dassera by Shri Sajjanlal C Mehta who had envisioned Pune as a future Industrial & Trade Capital of Western India .
Starting activities as an Importer of Hardboards and Hardware items and distributing them to the traders in Pune, Sangli, Satara, Karad, Kolhapur & Sholapur, the firm soon gained the confidence of traders and small retailers.
To take care of Import consignments a branch office was opened at Mumbai in the prestigious Fort Area.
Due to the founders strong sympathy with Swadeshi, the firm in 1953 took up the distributorship of Galvanized Pipes manufactured by the M/S The Indian Tube Company Ltd. (Now known as Tata Steel Tube Division). Later on Plywood and many Hardware items manufactured by Indian Companies were added to the list.
In 1972 the younger Mr Mehta Graduated from College & joined the Family Business. New policies and style of business was adopted and a new set of Industrial Customers were added with a view to serving small customers with quality Steel Tubes.
In 1974, M/S Steel Tubes of India Ltd. had put an ambitious plant at Dewas(MP) for the manufacture of Steel Tubes in collaboration with a Japanese Company. STI appointed us as an Authorized Dealer for Steel Tubes in Pune & surrounding areas.
Within a short time we established ourselves as the biggest stockists in Pune for the range of Steel Tubes varying from 10mm OD upto 76mm OD, in thickness from 9 SWG to 21 SWG. Soon we were patronised by Industrial customers due to availability of good quality tubes in sufficient quantities. Proper customer care and accomodative nature helped business grow faster than anticipated.
