Unique Transmission Private Limited was originally a partnership firm known as Relay Corporation, which came into existence in 1949. The company is privately owned by the Jain family.
In the early 60's Relay Corporation was mainly dealing in industrial and agricultural pumping sets. It was at this time that we made some tyre type flexible couplings to be used with our own pumping sets. These were the very first such couplings made in the country. Influenced by the extremely favourable response of users to these couplings, we gradually switched over to manufacture of tyre type flexible couplings from around the mid-60's. These tyre type couplings under "UNIQUE" Brand are still the most widely use flexible couplings in India.
During the course of the last two decades a large variety of flexible couplings and accessories in different designs and sizes have been added to the manufacturing range.
We proudly claim to have played a pioneering role in bringing to Indian industry such indigenously made couplings as non- lubricating all metallic flexible couplings, dry-fluid couplings/drives, etc. At present we manu­facture and supply the most comprehensive range of couplings and other mechanical power transmission devices available from a single source in the country. We also export to clients globally in more than 20 countries, including, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, North America and South East Asia. Our client list includes several Fortune 500 clients and all major industrial companies in India.
