for operation with rated torque at standstill. They are
comparable with springs with endless spring travel.
Geared torque motors move gates, flaps, or switches. They move
press dies into die change position. In all cases, they serve as a drive in
which a stop position must be reached and held following a short movement.
Even under voltage, they can have their speed matched temporarily by
another drive and then continue running at their own force.
