The Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) Control Panel is designed for use with Low Voltage A.C. Generator. The AVR panel is comprises of voltage control circuits, meterings and protection. The AVR will supply power to the exciter field of A. C. Generator and will maintain generator voltage wihin close limits for any load, from no load to full load. The AVR panel has provision for Two Auto modes. Auto mode has got two AVRs (AVR-1 and AVR-2)
AVR selector switch is provided to select AVR-1 or AVR-2
The AVR panel is capable of providing large field forcing voltage to the exciter field to achieve fast voltage recovery under transient conditions. Clsoe voltage regulation of the A. C. Generator is ensured by a high gain amplifier and a Thyristor Convertor. Unbalance load on 3 phase A. C. Generator also produces regulation figures out side limit.
