German Daggers

Historical Daggers from the early Roman times to the Renaissance and Medieval times. German dagger (from Vulgar Latin: 'daca' - a Dacian knife) is a blade weapon (essentially a double-edged knife) used for stabbing, thrusting or as a secondary defense weapon in close combat.Much like battle axes, daggers evolved out of prehistoric tools. They were initially made of flint, ivory or even bone and were used as a weapon since the earliest periods of human civilization.

Being German in origin, the daggers usually have high carbon steel blade framed with hardwood grips and may include leather sheath or black metal sheath with nickel or other metal platings. The pommel or the cross guards of the daggers often have eagle shape, lion shape or oak-leaf designs.
