Pakistani Gharara is the most traditional, elegant yet fashionable dress of Pakistan. It is a traditional garment worn primarily by Muslim women. It consists of a long or a short kurti, sometimes mid-thigh length tunic, a dupatta and a pair of wide-legged pants, ruched at the knee. This way they flare out spectacularly. The knee area is often elaborately embroidered in zari and zardozi work. Muslim Girls wear Pakistani Gharara specially on their weddings, parties or some other occasions. It is decorated with heavy embroidery, beads, zari, gota patti and zardozi which gives them a fascinating look. The style originated in the city of Lucknow during the era of the Nawabs during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The outfit is beautifully unique, often incorporating vibrant colors and embellishments, that looks charming, beautiful and even comfortable.
