cdss stands for combat decision supporting system. This has got inbuilt gps and is used to transmit the location data through starsv mkii and cnr radio sets which are carried by radio men for communicating.
a pc installed with the sit awareness system and connected to stars v mk iicnr will receive the location data from all the cdss modules and displayed on the maps.
