1. Description
GRCGFRC is a new kind of material used today for home decor items as well as ornamental moldings.
GC Silicone manufactures two-component, room temperature curing silicone mold materials that are used widely in the grcgfrc casting industry to create highly detailed decorative parts.
GRCGFRC can be cast repeatedly into silicone molds without release agents. The primary differences between polyurethanes and silicones are the cost (silicones are more expensive than polyurethane) and the range of hardness available within the product lines. For highly detailed and delicate castings, silicone rubbers may be necessary as they are available in softer and more flexible options compared to polyurethanes.
The popular silicone mold rubber is C-825C-830 for these applications. A tin-cured silicone rubber with a 100A:3B mix ratio; measure with a digital scale.
