Aircraft Reel: Has been designed for easy operation with minimal training, safety, and reliability for aircraft push-back and towing. This product is completely field serviceable from factory available “off the shelf” parts. The Aircraft Communication Reel is furnished with continuous tension of payout and recovery of cable including over-winding and reverse winding protecting. The reel has 55ft of cable providing 30-35ft of continuous tension. Should 55ft be exceeded there is breakaway protection to prevent damage to the cable and connector.This Reel has a mounting configuration allowing push-back or tow without changing anything. It is fully weather proof and UV protected with all stainless steel hardware, powder coated reel, frame and cable guide assembly, and a stainless steel sun, snow and ice shield.The reel incorporates an industry breakthrough precision slip ring utilizing gold on gold contacts. Based on an average of 14 push-backs per day, 365 days per year the slip ring capsule will provide a cycle life of 10 years. The power spring up to 12 years.
