flanged joint
to enable connections with steel & to allow for easy assembling & disassembling of process lines, grp pipes & fittings can be supplied with flanges, drilled in accordance with ansi, bs, din or other specification. Special requirement can be met upon request.
Butt & wrap joint
in general these joint will only be used for diameter over 100 mm. The preparation of this rigid joint requires good craftsmanship.
Bell & spigot joint
the socket end of this joint is an integral filament wound part of the pipe. The spigot end is a machined part on which o-ring seal is positioned. The flexible joint allows for axial movement of the spigot in the socket & some permissible angular deflection.
Double bell coupling
short pipes are joined using double bell coupling. The sealing of the joint is achieved by the compression of two elastomeric rubber gaskets when the joint is assembled.
Testing procedures:

raw materials
we purchase only from iso 9000 certified companies. The major raw materials are :
chopped strand mat (csm): 225, 300 & 450 gsm
e or c glass roving: 1200, 2400 and 4800 tex
resin system: vinyl ester, super vinyl ester, isopthalic & orthophthalic polyester resin
woven roving mat (wrm): 450 & 600 gsm
product testing
every pipe has been through following test:
visual inspection (astm d2563)
hydrostatic leak tightness test to 1.5 to 2 times rated pressure (awwa c 950)
dimensional check for wall thickness, length & diameter (astm d3567)
resin cure by barcol hardness
batch testing:
one pipe in every 100 pipes or lot size as specified by the customer is subjected to the following test:
axial tensile strength (astm d2105/d638)
hoop tensile strength (astm d2290)
structural integrity at deflected condition (astm d2412)
stiffness & flexural modulus (astm d2412)
type testing:
pipes manufactured with new resin systems or a new project is subjected to the following tests:
impact resistance (bs 5480)
ong term strength – hydrostatic design basis (astm d 2992)
pipe joints using flexible elastomeric seals (astm d4161)
strain corrosion (astm d3681)
