Botanical Name of Gudmaar Extract: - Gymnema Sylvestre

Gudmaar is a herbal perennial plant that belongs from Apocynaceae family. It is a native of Africa and India. In Ancient time, it was called destroyer of sugar. It has been used as an Ayurvadic and herbal medicine from traditional time in all over the world. It is also called miracle fruit due to its herbal and Ayurvadic properties. Gudmaar is the best remedy for the treatment of Diabetes. It is a woody climbing shrub that grows also in Sri Lanka. Its leaves are glassy and oval shaped and fruits are hairy and long. The flowers of Gudmaar are fragrant and pink and white in color. This extract is sweet in taste. The leaves of Gudmaar are used to make medicines.
