Gum Arabic, Material : Acacia Tree Sap

GUM ARABIC (ACACIA SENEGALESE) Gum Arabic is produced by the Acacia Tree and grown in the Savannah Arid Zones of Nigeria. The type of gum in Nigeria is the Acacia Senegalese, variety Senegalese which produces the Grade One gum characterized by a negative optical rotation. A Second variety known as the Acacia Seyel which produces the grade two Gum is also found in Cameroon and is characterized by a positive optical rotation.
