Hammertone Resins are dark brown viscous liquid resin based on Acrylated Semi-Saturated Phenol Resin made by Polymerising Refined Cardanol & its acrylation. They are Soluble in aromatic Solvents, White sprit, esters, ketones, higher alcohols, glycol ethers, insoluble in non- polar solvents & water. They are Compatible with most acrylated resins and are incompatible with medium & long oil alkyds. These are recommended for use in dark color coating enamels, primers and varnishes for fast drying industrial finishes. It offers excellent resistance to water. For roller coatings, aromatic solvents in the boiling range of 165 – 200 deg. C are recommended. For pigmented roller coating enamels traces of Metallic driers may be used to increase surface hardness.
