Story in every product of Kashmir!
CRAFTVERA is a first start-up group of Kashmiri Master Artisans, which brings the Artists/ Artisans and a customer on a platform where they can directly deal with genuine products. Before proceeding, here is our Story, How it Came into being. As a Matter of fact, we have been in the field of Handmade Kashmiri Papier Mache for the last 60 years, my whole family belongs to Art, and We are Artisans and have been making unparelled handmade products designs on anything from mached papier, Staintless steels, Kitchenware, Painting, Brass and copper etc, Since ages, but when it comes to CRAFTVERA, it is very long narrative back in 1985’s when My father Bashir Ahmed Khan who is awardee and well known for Mughal Darbar designs and also in Art, Painting designs, who currently runs also a small institute where he teaches young generation to keep this skill alive. My uncle Syed Hussain is an expert and master in Kashmiri Floral design of Gulandar Gul, Hazara or Poshi Kaam (Kashmiri Names of Designs) went to Mumbai, Juhu after being selected as Kashmiri Artisans by Kashmir Govt Emporium for representing in project to make kashmiri hand paint designs on wall of Shah House at Juhu, Mumbai where they ( Bashir Ahmed and Syed Hussain ) met with India’s famous Renowned Artist, Sculptor, curator, South Asia’s iconic design professional and thinker and Padma Bhushan, Mr. Rajeev Sethi, during 1990’s in Bollywood city Mumbai, India, with whom they both learnt while working in several projects. Finally, the time flew and it was time to go back to Kashmir because of some circumstances. Then Mr. Rajeev Sethi ji, gave an Idea to support and preserve kashmiri cultural Traditional art by supporting and teaching the young generation.
Thus, Craftvera evolved and its name significantly represents handmade and finally we formed a team and put our heart and soul into
