    Description :

    ISCTM 120 is a one component, fast curing coating for printed circuit assemblies. It is ideal for high moisture environments, environmental protection and for easy repair and rework. ISC 120™ Fluoresces under UV light for ease
    of inspection.

    Application
    Dipping
    Depending on the density, configuration and other factors of the components on the assembly, it may or may not be necessary to reduce viscosity of ISCTM 122. To obtain a uniform layer, ISCTM THINNER 01 can be used. After the optimised viscosity is achieved, rate of immersion and withdrawal should be controlled (5 – 15 cm/min). During this application, there will be a loss of solvent from ISCTM 122 in the tank, therefore viscosity should be constantly maintained by ISCTM THINNER 01 and checked regularly with appropriate lab instruments (Ford viscosity cup).
    Spraying
    ISCTM 122 can be sprayed with spraying equipment. This method should be done in a well ventilated environment. The addition of ISCTM THINNER 01 is necessary for this method, the viscosity and pressure can be adjusted according to the spraying equipment & technique.
    Brushing
    ISCTM 122 can be brushed directly or even ISCTM THINNER 01 can be added to achieve the desired viscosity needed for brushing.   
    Storage : ISCTM 122 should be stored away from excessive heat or cold, in tightly closed containers
    Aerosol

    • Mask areas not requiring coating from overspray using non silicone masking methods or materials.
    • Shake can vigorously before using on clean substrates (ISCTM 08 or ISC™ 09 CAN BE USED FOR CLEANING).
    • Best results are obtained by spraying from a distance of 15 – 30 cms in light even coats. A film thickness of 25 – 75 microns is sufficient to provide protection.
    • To clean nozzle after use, hold can upside down, then press nozzle for a few seconds.


    Note

    • Cleaning of the substrates is the most essential step before application of conformal coat. The surface to be coated should be free of dirt, wax, moisture, grease and other contaminants.
    • If, contaminants are not removed from the surface before coat, it may cause problems in adhesion and even some electrical properties can be affected. The user should always do various tests to check the compatibility between conformal coats and their materials and process.
    • In cases of high ambient humidity, cloudy white film may appear. Heating the coated assemble in an oven for ½ hour at 76°C.
    • Let cans sit for 48 hours minimum in room temperature, when stored or received in cold weather.
